Library Girl @ Your Conference!
I love learning and sharing with other educators from around the country and, indeed, the world. It has been a thrill and an unbelievable honor to be invited to be a keynote and featured speaker at numerous library and technology conferences and I am always humbled by each request to be a part of my colleagues’ professional journey. As a former classroom teacher, middle school librarian, district level media and tech leader and current Educator on Loan with the NC Dept. of Public Instruction’s Division of Digital Teaching and Learning, I LOVE helping other teachers (especially, but not limited to, teacher librarians and technology educators) transform teaching and learning for kids through effective collaborations, inspired use of technology and innovative pedagogy.
If you are interested in having me speak or conduct professional development for your school, organization or group, please contact me at jennifer [at] librarygirl [dot] net. Keep in mind, though, that my first priority is to the teachers and learners in North Carolina, who I have the honor to serve each and every day. That said, I weigh each and every incredibly humbling request carefully and if I am unable to accept, I will gladly recommend someone else who I think might be able to meet your needs.
In the end, it is my strong belief that being a great teacher requires being a great learner. It is a thrill and an honor to be a part of that process!
